The Data Controller ("Controller") is Avv. Davide Baraglia, Italian qualified lawyer. You may contact the Controller to exercise your rights or to obtain further information on how your data is processed by writing to website@davidebaraglia.it (the "Controller's address").
2. Types of personal data ("Data") processed
2.1 Navigation data
This category includes the IP addresses or domain names of the computers used by visitors connecting to the Website, the addresses of the requested resources, the time of the request, the method used to submit the request to the server, the size of the file received in response, the numeric code indicating the server's response status (success, error, etc.) and other parameters relating to the visitor's operating system and computing environment.
2.2 Data voluntarily provided by the user
The optional, explicit and voluntary sending of emails to the addresses indicated on the Website entails the subsequent acquisition of the sender's email address and any other data included in the message (name, subject and content). This is necessary in order to respond to the requests or queries submitted, always in accordance with this policy.
3. Purposes of processing and legal basis
The Data provided by the data subject through the Website will be processed for the following purposes:
- navigation data (see § 2.1): to allow the visitor access to the Website's pages and to ensure its correct functioning. Legal basis: legitimate interest of the Controller pursuant to Art. 6, para. 1, lit. f), Regulation (EU) 2016/679 ("GDPR");
- data voluntarily provided by the user (see § 2.2): exclusively to respond to contact requests. Legal basis: pre-contractual measures taken at the request of the data subject pursuant to Art. 6, para. 1, lit. b), GDPR, or legitimate interest of the Controller pursuant to Art. 6, para. 1, lit. f), GDPR.
Under no circumstances will the Data collected be processed for profiling, marketing or commercial purposes, nor will it be disclosed to third parties.
4. Categories of recipients of personal data
The Data will be processed by the Controller and may be shared with third-party companies duly appointed as data processors, which provide ancillary and instrumental services to the Website (e.g. hosting and analytics services in relation to navigation data; email service in relation to data voluntarily provided by the user via the email address indicated above).
The management and storage of personal data takes place on servers located within and outside the European Union, owned by and/or available to the Controller and/or third-party companies duly appointed as data processors.
5. Transfer of personal data abroad
No transfer of personal data abroad is envisaged, except as provided under § 4 and solely for the purposes set out under § 3.
6. Data retention periods
Navigation data (see § 2.1) is retained in server logs for a period not exceeding 12 months from collection, unless further retention is required for the investigation of criminal offences by the judicial authorities.
Data voluntarily provided by email (see § 2.2) will be retained for the time strictly necessary to respond to the request submitted and, thereafter, for the period required by applicable legal obligations.
Data collected through cookies will be retained for the period set by each individual cookie. For further information, please refer to the relevant section of the Cookie Policy below.
7. Nature of data provision and consequences of refusal
The provision of data necessary for the processing activities listed under § 3 is optional, but constitutes a necessary and indispensable condition for accessing the Website (§ 3 no. 1) and for receiving a response to any requests sent to the Controller's address (§ 1) (§ 3 no. 2). Any refusal to provide such data will therefore make it impossible to provide the requested service.
8. Rights of the data subject
The data subject is entitled to the following rights:
- right of access: the right to obtain from the Controller confirmation as to whether or not personal Data is being processed and, where that is the case, to obtain access to it;

The data subject may exercise these rights or request further information by writing to the Controller's address (§ 1).
The data subject is also entitled to withdraw at any time any consent given for specific processing activities by sending an express request to the Controller's address (§ 1).
Cookie Policy
Below you will find information about cookies, how they are used by this Website and how to manage them.
The Website uses only technical cookies necessary to ensure its correct functioning and improve the browsing experience (see § 5). No profiling cookies are used, and no marketing or commercial activities of any kind are carried out.
1. Definitions
Cookies are small text files that websites visited by users send to their devices, where they are stored and then retransmitted to the same websites on subsequent visits. So-called "third-party" cookies are, instead, set by a website other than the one the user is visiting. This is because any website may contain elements (images, maps, sounds, links to pages on other domains, etc.) that reside on servers different from those of the visited website.
2. Types of cookies
Based on their characteristics and use, cookies can be divided into several categories:
2.1 Technical cookies
Technical cookies are used exclusively "to carry out the transmission of a communication over an electronic communications network, or as strictly necessary in order to provide an information society service explicitly requested by the subscriber or user" (Art. 122, para. 1, Legislative Decree no. 196 of 30 June 2003 – Italian Privacy Code). They are not used for any other purpose and are generally installed directly by the website owner or operator.
The Website uses exclusively session or navigation cookies, i.e. cookies that ensure the normal use of the Website and cease to be active when the browser is closed.
The installation of these cookies does not require the user's prior consent. However, there remains an obligation to provide an information notice pursuant to Art. 13 of the Italian Privacy Code, such as the present one, which the Controller may make available in the manner deemed most appropriate.
2.2 Profiling cookies
This Website does NOT use profiling cookies, nor does it carry out any marketing or commercial activities.
2.3 Third-party cookies
The Website does not use third-party cookies for profiling or marketing purposes. However, technical cookies set by Cloudflare, the Website's hosting and security provider, are present as they are necessary to ensure the correct functioning of the Website (see § 5). No plugins, widgets or external content (such as maps, videos, social buttons) are embedded that would result in additional cookies being set by third parties.
3. Cookie duration
Some cookies, known as "session cookies", remain active only until the browser is closed.
Other cookies, known as "persistent cookies", remain available after the browser is closed and are used on the user's subsequent visits to the Website. Their duration is set by the server at the time of creation: some have a predefined expiry date, while others remain active until manually deleted.
4. Managing cookies
Users may choose whether or not to accept cookies through their browser settings.
Please note: disabling technical cookies in whole or in part may impair the correct functioning of the Website.
Settings can be configured specifically for individual websites and web applications. Furthermore, most browsers allow you to manage "first-party" and "third-party" cookies separately.
Detailed guides on how to manage cookies in your browser are readily available online. Below are links to the instructions for the main browsers:
